Editing

Editing audio in Wave Editor is very similar to editing text in a word processor. Making selections, cut, copy, paste and drag are all familiar commands and behave as expected. Selections adhere to all "Snap To" settings including Labels, Zero Cross, SmartEdits and more. To modify Snap To settings, choose Edit > Snap To.

Wave Editor is fully channel-independent. You can cut/copy from or paste to a single channel of a multi-channel audio file.

You can drag a selection to another area in the document or to another file. Wave Editor converts the dragged audio data to match the target document if their formats or sample rates differ.

Wave Editor provides unlimited undo. To configure undo options, choose Wave Editor > Preferences > General. To flush the undo cache, choose Edit > Flush... and click the "Yes" button in the confirmation dialog.
