To view the Master Section select Window > Master Section.
The Master Section contains global control and information about the Console. It is split up into three sub-sections:
The "Power" button turns the Console On or Off (just like a power button on a mixer). This includes all instantiated effects and instruments.
The "Record" button will record the Console's audio as per the specifications in Rax's Recording Preferences.
The "Mute" button mutes or unmutes all the Channels on the Console.
The Fader controls the output level for the entire Console.
The Meter displays the level of the selected Output.
The "Tempo" field displays the set Tempo.
Below the "Tempo" field is a drop-down menu where you choose the tempo source:
"Internal" uses the tempo set in the "Tempo" field or from the loaded MIDI file. To load a MIDI file select the second bar and choose "Load..."
This prompts the standard Open dialogue wherein you navigate your computer and choose a file.
"MIDI" uses the tempo sent from a MIDI clock source (see the MIDI Preferences). "ReWire" uses the tempo sent from a ReWire source (please read the Knowledge Book article Using Rax 3 with ReWire Applications).
This meter displays your computer's CPU load.
