2.1. Audio Effect Database (Attention Developers!)

The Effect Update tool uses our Audio Effect Database.  This is a community driven online resource that contains the effect name, current version, update URL, and notes about the effect.  

When you use the Effect Update tool Backline will scan your computer's Audio Unit and VST database and compare the version numbers to those entered in the online Audio Effect Database.

How can I get involved?

Any Audiofile Engineering user can contribute to the Audio Effect Database.  Simply log-in and then select Audio Effect Database from the Resources column:

The Audio Effect Database will open:

Specify the developer, enter the new version or new effect, version description, and a link to the effect download.
