exported files are slowed down/have high pitch sound

Running Fire on my Iphone 4 - up to date firmware.
I've successfully exported some files as waves in the past - using the "browser access" feature. However, recently, when I've tried transferring my recordings - class lectures, when I listen to them on my computer, they're slowed down a lot and or in addition, will have a crazy high pitched sound...
I haven't altered any settings. I'm using the Hard Clip input setting. I've tried enabling the "retain pitch" feature prior to exporting the recording with no luck. The playback speed option is set to "Normal"
Also, is there any other way to simply dump the recordings to your computer by plugging it in to the computer? Would be far more practical.

I'm surprised no one has responded to this, but this isn't a very active forum, so I guess it's not surprising.
There is definitely a weird bug in the app. I'm also on an iPhone 4 so it may be specific to this device. What I've found is that if I reboot the phone, the recordings go back to normal speed, but you do have to re-do any conversions or uploads you've already done from the original recording.
As far as I can tell, the problem is sporadic and I'm not sure what prompts it, but I've found that there are a couple of ways to tell if it's happening. One is getting the error message upon launching FiRe to the effect of "the audio hardware could not be configured," or something along those lines. If you dismiss the message you can continue on to record, but every time this has happened I've ended up with a slowed-down recording.
The other thing is to keep an eye on the recording timer and see if it's moving faster than it should be.

Same here Edward. ( iPhone 4 v4.3.1, FiRe 1.5.3.)
The files I uploaded were slowed down. Without rebooting the phone, I quit the application, and when I re-launched FiRe, this time the same files were fine when uploaded.
I did get the error message about the audio hardware.

Good to know (about not having to reboot the phone, just relaunch the app). Thanks!

I'm using the most recent v of Fire 2.0.1. Recorded 3 lengthy interviews (approx 1 1/4 hours each). The upload produced a slowed down version for each recording. However, if I listen via Fire on my iPad2, voice speed is correct.
Please let us know when this issue will be addressed. Last post from Matthew is over 5 weeks ago.
Thanks
Note: I restarted the iPad and the result was the same. I had to alter speed in an external sound program. Appreciate some feedback here, either acknowledging the issue, or at least offering other suggestions to remedy this problem.

This was resolved in the last update of FiRe 1.5 and I'm not quite sure how it could happen in 2.0 (it's a complete rewrite). Please contact support so we can collect more information. Remember, we don't provide tech support via our forums.

If you have experienced this issue with FiRe 2 and the speed of the file was changed slightly (e.g. the difference between 44.1 and 48), it is resolved in 2.0.2. Release notes:

Any idea when 2.0.2 will arrive? I am having the slowed down playback/upload issue all the time.

This sounds like something different. Please contact support. Would love to take a look at one of your files.

Hi Matthew
I have attempted today to download v 2.0.2 from iTunes store 3 times. Each time v 2.0.1 is downloaded even though the Store page says 2.0.2. Would you please investigate.
thanks, Joseph

I guess 4th time is a charm. Correct version downloaded. I suspect nothing downloaded in the other 3 attempts even though the download window showed activity. Strange...but then again...these are strange times.

Apple's been having issues with the App Store, this has been happening to me repeatedly the last few days with multiple apps. Just download and upgrade directly from your advice, that's what worked for me. Also, make sure you're using the latest iTunes.

FWIW, this problem is fully resolved in 2.0.3. It will not fix existing recordings, but we can help with that if necessary.
